Welcome to Academic Publications of Health, Medical and Pharmacy’s Author Resources. Whether you’re submitting your first manuscript or are an experienced researcher, this guide walks you through the article publishing process and provides essential information about our policies, requirements, and support services.
1. Prepare Your Manuscript
Before submission, make sure your article meets the basic requirements of your chosen journal:
Follow the journal’s submission guidelines (formatting, structure, references).
Prepare all figures, tables, and supplementary material.
Ensure you have the necessary permissions for any third-party content.
Check that your study meets ethical standards and include any required declarations (e.g., conflicts of interest, consent).
Use professional resources for editing or formatting if needed.
2. Write a Cover Letter
Include a concise cover letter that highlights your research question, key findings, and why your work is a good fit for the journal.
3. Submit Your Manuscript
Submit your article through the journal’s online submission system. Only one submission per manuscript is allowed for each journal.
4. Initial Technical Check
Your submission will undergo a preliminary check for adherence to guidelines, completeness, formatting, and ethical compliance.
5. Peer Review Process
Experienced editors and independent reviewers evaluate your work. Many journals use double-blind or single-blind peer review to ensure impartial assessment. Reviewers may request revisions.
6. Editorial Decision
After review, your manuscript may be:
Accepted (possibly with revisions),
Returned for revision, or
Rejected.
If accepted, you will receive instructions on the next steps, including signing publishing agreements.
7. Open Access or Subscription Choice
You may be asked to choose a publishing model (open access vs. subscription) after acceptance. Open access publication typically involves an Article Processing Charge (APC), which covers editorial and production costs. APCs vary by journal and funding options may be available.
8. Production & Publication
Once your manuscript is accepted and any applicable fees are confirmed, your article enters production. You’ll receive proofs to review and approve before publication. After final approval, your article is published and discoverable online.

Follow disciplinary conventions for structure, citations, and terminology.
Include a clear abstract and keywords to improve discoverability.
Use figures and tables effectively to present data.
Check language quality and consider professional editing if necessary.
Our journals use rigorous peer review to ensure the quality and integrity of published research. You may be asked to revise your manuscript based on review comments. Editors make final decisions based on scientific merit, originality, clarity, and relevance.
Many journals offer open access options. Publishing open access makes your article freely available to all readers worldwide and can increase visibility and impact. Open access often involves an Article Processing Charge (APC), which may be covered by your institution, funder, or other agreements. Funding support and waivers may be available for eligible authors.
Authors must adhere to ethical standards in research and publication, which include:
Avoiding plagiarism and duplicate publication.
Reporting conflicts of interest.
Ensuring human and animal research meets ethical guidelines.
Disclosing funding sources.
Check each journal’s editorial policies for details.
Authors will be asked to agree to a publishing license or transfer of rights before publication. For open access articles, licensing is usually under a Creative Commons licence or similar, allowing broad reuse while protecting author rights.
Once published, your article will be indexed and discoverable through academic databases and search engines. You can:
Track citations and usage metrics.
Share your work with colleagues and on academic profiles.
Promote your research via social media or institutional channels.
